Collective Participation in Livestock Exhibition-2021
The Livestock Exhibition 2021 was organized by Department of Livestock Services (DLS) in collaboration with Beez Bistar Foundation (BBF) on 05 June 2021 in Sheikh Rasel Mini Stadium, Deldduar, Tangail. There were 50 stalls exhibited in the exhibition. Out of 50 stalls Dairy cattle 15; Beef cattle 7; Goat 6; Sheep 2; Pigeon 2; Layer poultry farm 5; Sonali 2; Broiler 5; Feed dealer 3 stalls. In addition Veterinary Division of ACME, DLS and Beez Bistar stalls were demonstrated in the exhibition.
There was an opening ceremony for formally open the exhibition. The opening ceremony session was chaired by Mahmuda Akhter, Upazila Nirbahi Officer UNO), Delduar Upazila. Dr.Rana Miah, Distirct Livestock Officer (DLO), DLS, Tangail have participated as Chief Guest. The Special Guests were Dr. Enayet Karim, ULO, Delduar; Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Upozila Chairman; Delduar Tangail; S.M. Ahsanul Haque Sumon, Vice Chairman, Delduar and Dewan Tahmina Haque, Vice Chairman, Delduar Tangail.
The inauguration speech was delivered by Dr. Enayet Karim, ULO, Delduar. In his speech he expressed that NATP, LDDP and BBF has been working Dairy and Poultry development in collaboration with the DLS. He has mentioned that, BBF extended their helping hands for organizing this event qualitative and successful.
The exhibition have participated by dairy and poultry birds stakeholders, NGOs and Private sector representatives. The participating broiler, layer and Sonali poultry farmers and feed dealers were selected from the beneficiaries of IBP Food safety governance in poultry sector project of BBF. The selections of respective poultry farmers and feed dealers nominated jointly by BBF and DLS. The model poultry farmers and dealers displayed their products including chicken, egg and feed items in their individual stalls. BBF also participated in the exhibition with IEC materials on food safety those were published by IBP Food Safety Project. In addition there were 70 poultry farmers, feed dealers and LBM actors from the BBB Food safety project have participated in the event.
Beezbistar Foundation took stall no. 50 in this livestock exhibition. The stall was decorated with all of its activities related festoons, leaflet, handbooks, flipcharts, photo exhibitory boards etc. Md. Hasan-Al-Sharif; Monitoring and Liaison Officer; BBF and Abu Hanif; Monitoring and Liaison Officer; BBF were in the stall. They provided food safety IEC materials among the visitors in the exhibition.
